Damp Surveyors UK is a trading name of AMPM Property Maintenance Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company no. 13340969), Unit 3, 349 Hasland Road, Hasland, Chesterfield S41 0AQ. We provide damp and timber surveys across the Midlands and North of England.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it.

What we collect

When you send our survey request form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property postcode and anything you tell us about the problem. If you ring or email us, we keep a record of the conversation and your contact details.

We do not collect payment details through this website.

How we use it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, recommend the right survey, confirm pricing and arrange the appointment. We may contact you by phone or email about your enquiry or booking.

Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We do not use your details for marketing without your consent, and we never sell them.

Who we share it with

Your details are only shared with the people and services needed to run the business: our email and website hosting providers, and the surveyor attending your appointment. We do not pass your information to third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where a survey goes ahead, we keep booking records and reports for six years in line with our professional and legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email us at info@dampsurveyorsuk.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
